| Bio: | they told me that my name is Nitin and I accepted it. volcanoes erupted and my mum told me a story about a prince who fell in love with a peasant. and if I actually had ever heard it I'd have thought it's the most beautiful story that I've ever heard or ever will hear. I honestly think I wasn't supposed to be like this. talking about rainbows and dreaming about love. when I was nine I played football and talked about girls. my friends and I were utterly intrigued by how we were born. and then when I was thirteen and watching TV I thought hm there's a handsome man. and never doubted it. ever. I wished that was the case. until very recently I was happy with myself. then a girl kissed me and I kissed her back. and then another girl told me she liked me. and finally a third girl came and told me the same thing. I'm confused. my story is simple. or used to be. I told people that I'm Finnish. I lived in Helsinki for seventeen years. then someone was lovely enough to offer me a scholarship. so last year I moved to Swaziland and started studying there. then people asked where I'm from. I told them that I'm from Finland. some didn't believe me as I was too brown to be Finnish. I told them my parents are Indian so they started calling me Findian and I'm happy with the name. now when I go back to Finland for holidays and meet new people I've to say that I'm an Indian-born Finn who lives in Swaziland. next year I'll move to Malaysia (hopefully). what will I say there? cities & writing. for a moment I thought I lost my words and started to take photos. I wasn't good enough with photography. my pictures crack and cry. when I moved to Swaziland I got scared. my Finnish became poor and my English was already poor although improving. I ceased writing. I haven't written a short story since 2006. however I've been falling in love with cities non-stop. Amsterdam, Durban, Dar es Salaam and Stone Town. three out of fours cities locate in Africa. to be honest I'd still choose Paris over those three cities. she has my words. this is Nitin. when I was sixteen I wanted to change my name. Sebastian and Dominique and Dejan sounded wonderful. now I wish to change the world. and yet the truth is that if someone came to me and said that I'm a good man and I'll fulfill one of your wishes I'd say please let me fall in love with someone who would fall in love with me over world peace. sorry world. layout: here |
